I came across abilities and onUpdateAbilities what is it?

I found that after changing an ability server-side I sould call onUpdateAbilities. What's onUpdateAbilities?

    It's a method in the Player class you should call.

    If you don't now how to call a method you should learn basic java before modding minecraft.

    I don't remember anymore. Tbh I wasn't sure if it was a method. It sounds more like an event to me? (I got the mod working by calling player.onUpdateAbilities, thanks)
