I wanted to be able to store config files on a Per-Profile basis

other than /w the game directory option as that moves ALL the game directory files

i.e. I have 4 profiles

1) 1.5.2_forge

2) 1.5.2_forge(treecap)

3) 1.6.2_forge

4) 1.6.2_forge(treecap)

in the mods folder I only have two folders 1.5.2 containing Just 1.5.2 mods

and  1.6.2 containing Just 1.6.2 mods

I'd love to have in the config folder 4 folders Just for the Same Configs

so for example I can Disable TreeCapitator\InvTweak\...ect for servers that don't allow

without doubling or tripling the number of times I have to have mods installed

client-side only mods will always load; but possible server side conflicts can be avoided

P.S. I did search but was unable to find anything other than gamedir or the Mods folder thing

so if I have missed something could a Mod please CLOSE this after linking to the correct post

Use the gameDir to make everything you need per-profile.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

"other than /w the game directory option"

b/c I'd need to copy my mods folder too, right?

I'm trying to avoid that

No, there isn't a way to make anything profile specific without using the gamedir, add in any other features/ways to do it would just complicate the system. If you DONT wana use your global mods/settings change the game dir. That the official answer.
