perromercenary00 Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 hi i need help whit animating and item i need to animated while on use i having following a tutorial for 1.16.5 making a ModItemModelProperties class and all but dont works for 1.19.2 exactly the ItemModelsProperties.register dont have a source import in 1.16.5 was in import net.minecraft.item.ItemModelsProperties; that means ItemModelsProperties change of name or was dropped and now the bow animation is done diferent Spoiler package basemmod.item; //import net.minecraft.item.ItemModelsProperties; //import net.minecraft.world.item.ItemModelsProperties; import net.minecraft.resources.ResourceLocation; import net.minecraft.world.item.Item; public class ModItemModelProperties { public static void makeBow(Item item) { ItemModelsProperties.register(item, new ResourceLocation("pull"), (itemstack, warudo, le) -> { if (le == null) { return 0.0F; } else { float pull = (float)((( itemstack.getUseDuration() - le.getUseItemRemainingTicks() ) % 5 ) / 5.0F); //System.out.println( " ticks = " + pull ); return (le.getUseItem() != itemstack )? 0.0F : pull; //(itemstack.getUseDuration() - le.getUseItemRemainingTicks()) / 20.0F; } }); ItemModelsProperties.register(item, new ResourceLocation("pulling"), (itemstack, warudo, le) -> { return (le != null && le.getUseItem() == itemstack) ? 1.0F : 0.0F; }); } public static void make_solution_shake(Item item) { ItemModelsProperties.register(item, new ResourceLocation("pull"), (itemstack, warudo, le) -> { if (le == null) { return 0.0F; } else { float pull = (float)((( itemstack.getUseDuration() - le.getUseItemRemainingTicks() ) % 5 ) / 5.0F); //System.out.println( " ticks = " + pull ); return (le.getUseItem() != itemstack )? 0.0F : pull; //(itemstack.getUseDuration() - le.getUseItemRemainingTicks()) / 20.0F; } }); ItemModelsProperties.register(item, new ResourceLocation("pulling"), (itemstack, warudo, le) -> { return (le != null && le.getUseItem() == itemstack) ? 1.0F : 0.0F; }); } } also for the sake of saving time surely the way of declaring the item to attach the make_solution_shake(Item item) also change i need an example of the new way thanks for your attention Quote
warjort Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 It's not difficult to find this. You know the bow does this and you need the item instance to register it. So just search for references to Items.BOW and you will find the vanilla code in net.minecraft.client.renderer.item.ItemProperties Quote Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one. If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com You should also read the support forum sticky post.
Ninjaguy169 Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 (edited) Just do ItemModelProperties.register in FMLClientSetupEvent, and register as many frames as there are in your spritesheet/texture/whatever. The normal bow has 4 frames when you pull it, so you'll want to call ItemModelProperties.register 4 times and register a different ResourceLocation that matches the names in the item model's JSON (e.g. "normal", "pull1", "pull2", "pull3"). EDIT: I'm dumb, this is for 1.16.5, and the problem here is with 1.19. My bad. Edited September 5, 2022 by Ninjaguy169 Quote
