I am just starting out with modding for Minecraft and am just trying a simple mod to print to a file a list of all items in my game, both Vanilla and modded.  I searched and found one post on this forum for this exact thing from 2015, but it seems that method is very outdated and no longer works. Their solution was:

List<Item> list = ImmutableList.copyOf(Item.itemRegistry);

Item.itemRegistry seems to no longer exist so this won't work. Ideally I would like like to step through the list with a for-each loop. Any help is appreciated.

        for (Item item : ForgeRegistries.ITEMS.getValues()) {
            // blah
        }

Boilerplate:

If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one.

If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install

Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com  You should also read the support forum sticky post.

Sorry for the belated reply. Life has been hectic and I finally got a chance to try this out. It is exactly what I needed. I now have mod that makes a python file of public static strings for every item and block in my game for use with minescript. Thank you very much for the help.
