Hello, I tried to install mods on my friend PC, so I installer Forge the same way I did when I did it on my PC, then downloaded OptiFine and we put it in the "mods" file. When we lauched the Minecraft Launcher there was the configuration with Optifine, and the one with Forge, when we launch the OptiFine one, everything was okay, but with Forge... there wasn't OptiFine, so we tried to install another mod, same thing : it wasn't in the game... So we tried to reinstall Minecraft, same thing for Forge on different version but nothing worked... What can we do ?ย ๐Ÿ˜•

Show your folder structure. Where is the mods folder? Additionally, OptiFine only works with very specific versions of Forge, so you should probably check that it's supported.

You probably have that broken browser extension that downloads jar files with the .jar.zip extension.

Make sure the mod files end with .jar

Boilerplate:

If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one.

If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install

Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.comย  You should also read the support forum sticky post.
