October 16, 20222 yr In order to root out one of the more common issues, we'll need to see your hosts file. Here's the steps to getting this file. 1) Press the Win + R key on your keyboard. 2) Paste the following into the prompt that opens: notepad %windir%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts 3) Use Ctrl+A to select everything in the file, then Ctrl+C into the textbox to post to this thread.

October 19, 20222 yr Please create your own thread and post the installer log (it is created in the same folder as where you have the installer jar). There is nothing wrong with your hosts file. The other usual reason for the above error message is using a very old version of java. Make sure your java is up-to-date or download a recent version like: https://adoptium.net/ Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one. If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com You should also read the support forum sticky post.
