Posted October 20, 20223 yr (I am new to modding) I have added a total of 6 tools into the game, which all work fine. The problem is, however, that the recipes are currently not working properly. Only one of the recipes is working, which is the one for a Wooden Long Sword. Here's the recipe json file for that one: { "type": "minecraft:crafting_shaped", "pattern": [ " P", "SP ", "PS " ], "key": { "P": { "tag": "minecraft:planks" }, "S": { "item": "minecraft:stick" } }, "result": { "item": "antsmod:wooden_long_sword", "count": 1 } } The other recipes aren't working. For some odd reason, only the sticks are actually being registered. This is the case for every single Long Sword I've added except for the Wooden one like I stated earlier. You're probably wondering whether putting the items in manually works. Nope, it does not. Putting in the two sticks always gives you a Stone Long Sword, even though the other recipes are also broken with only the sticks registering. Here's the recipe json file for the Stone Long Sword: { "type": "minecraft:crafting_shaped", "pattern": [ " B", "SB ", "BS " ], "key": { "B": [ { "tag": "base_stone_nether" }, { "tag": "base_stone_overworld" } ], "S": { "item": "minecraft:stick" } }, "result": { "item": "antsmod:stone_long_sword", "count": 1 } } I have tried replacing the B key list with just one tag, just like in the recipe file for the Wooden Long Sword, but that didn't fix the issue. Yes, the files are named correctly. Edited October 20, 20223 yr by RowYourBoat Solved
October 20, 20223 yr minecraft:base_stone_nether is a block tag as is the other one. You need to use item tags in recipes, like minecraft:stone_tool_materials https://github.com/misode/mcmeta/tree/data/data/minecraft/tags/items Or you can use one of the forge tags (e.g. forge:stone) https://github.com/MinecraftForge/MinecraftForge/tree/1.19.x/src/generated/resources/data/forge/tags/items or just create your own tag. Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one. If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com You should also read the support forum sticky post.
