I have created a datapack that makes the overworld into floating islands. We were going to test it out on my server, but in testing, we can't start the forge server up with the datapack.

Also, I can't create a single player world with the datapack when my client is running forge.

The datapack I'm working on is a terrain generation pack and it needs to be loaded when the world is being created.

I found this (https://forge.gemwire.uk/wiki/Datapack_Registries) that seems to related, but I'm not sure.

Any thoughts?

(oh the error in the logs says this `java.util.concurrent.CompletionException: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Not a JSON Object: 0.0`. So I went through and changed all the `0.0` values to `0`, but that didn't fix it.)

Your error says it is expecting a "Json Object" which looks something like:

{
   "name": value
}

i.e. json's version of a record or key/value map

You are trying to give it a number which won't work.

You can find the required format of most of minecraft's datapack jsons described on the same wiki.

Or this website has a kind of gui that lets you generate them:

https://misode.github.io/

and here is what minecraft's own vanilla datapack looks like if it had been written in json

Boilerplate:

If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one.

If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install

Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com  You should also read the support forum sticky post.
