Posted December 19, 20222 yr Forge client crashes upon attempting to join server. Singleplayer worlds work fine, but trying to join the server I am hosting works up to "loading terrain", before the client blackscreens, and then displays "saving world", before crashing. Forge version: 43.2.0 MC version: 1.19.2 Logs: https://gist.github.com/MagiicMushroom/f1ebeb54c4064f8b8ba342444a1f49d4 (has crash report, latest.log, server latest.log, and server debug.log)
December 19, 20222 yr Quote net.minecraft.world.level.chunk.MissingPaletteEntryException: Missing Palette entry for index 0. This error means the server is trying to send block information to the client, but the client can't find the block. There are other errors before the one that causes the crash. Some have a different error that says the palette is the wrong length. I can see you don't have the correct/latest preview release of optifine so try that. Or try without optifine. Optifine and other "optimisation" mods are always a good candidate to remove when you get weird errors. Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one. If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com You should also read the support forum sticky post.
