Posted December 22, 20222 yr Hi I recently started a minecraft server with my boys and now I wanted to add mods too. That's when I came across FTB Quest and wanted to create my own quest line. I now have the following mods already in the mod folder FTB-library-forge-1902.3.11-build166 FTB-quest-forge-1902.4.4-build.150 FTB-teams-forge-1902.2.10-build.76 item-filters-forge-1902-2-9-build46 architectury-7.0.65-forge However, an error message always appears (see image) and I don't know what I need to make it go away and I can use the mod. Can anyone help me there? Image: https://ibb.co/rcJGQbN
December 22, 20222 yr You are trying to use mods for 1.19.2 with minecraft 1.19.3 See the game version here: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/ftb-quests-forge/files/all?filter-game-version=1738749986%3a73407 Since forge for 1.19.3 is still in beta, you might want to use 1.19.2 until it is fully released and mods have migrated to the new version. Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one. If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com You should also read the support forum sticky post.
December 22, 20222 yr Author @warjort I have now changed the version but unfortunately the errors are still coming.
December 22, 20222 yr You need to post a link to your logs/debug.log so we can see the full errors. December 22, 20222 yr Author Where can I get the link? Or should I copy the whole text and paste it here?
December 22, 20222 yr Quote -- System Details -- Details: Minecraft Version: 1.19.3 Minecraft Version ID: 1.19.3 That crash report is for 1.19.3 Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. December 22, 20222 yr Author So do I have to uninstall "forge" and then install an older version to make it work?
December 22, 20222 yr It depends upon your launcher. The vanilla launcher lets you have multiple versions. Click on the "Installations" at the top of the screen where can create new ones in their own folders and choose the version for each. For servers you will need to install the different versions in different folders. Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one. December 22, 20222 yr Author I have now selected version 1.19.2-forge-43.2.0. Now there are even more errors than before. The Xaeros are now in a different version, I understand that. But above I have other errors again. https://de.files.fm/u/8bemvzsn4
December 22, 20222 yr Now you have the opposite problem. You are trying to use mods for 1.19.3 (forge 44) with 1.19.2 (forge 43) 🙂 Including the architectury mod. Download versions of the mods that are compatible with the minecraft version you are using. December 22, 20222 yr Author Now I'm a bit overwhelmed. How do I recognize the example with this mod which I need exactly now? There are now only any numbers and not for which version this is suitable. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/ftb-library-legacy-forge/files
December 22, 20222 yr Author Here, for example, I have now selected ftb-teams-forge-1902.2.11-build.87. How do I know which version exactly I need for my Forge. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/ftb-teams-forge/files
December 22, 20222 yr As I said in my original response, look at the "Game Version" it should match your minecraft version - i.e. 1.19.2 One of those links you posted is the wrong mod. You want: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/ftb-library-forge NOT the "legacy" version which is for minecraft 1.12.2 and before. Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. December 22, 20222 yr Author Ok but on the page you sent me there are now 5 versions with 1.19.2. For example, it says ftb-library-forge-1902.3.10-build.156.jar that's version 1.19.2, isn't it? or what does 1902.3.10-build156 stand for?
December 22, 20222 yr In general you should use the latest version. Use the date as a tiebreaker. To be honest, if you don't understand how software versioning works, you should instead install a modpack that somebody else has built and already tested. December 22, 20222 yr Author As I said, I only recently created the server and am doing this for the first time. I find it difficult to find the right versions and to find a good overview.
