I want to download an older version to play the mods i want, but it wont actually show in the launcher. Any solutions?

I've wanted to play forge 1.7/10 or 1.10.2 (either work) but every time I try to download either of them, it says successfully downloaded, but it doesn't show in the launcher. For those wondering, im trying to get 2 mods, the lattice mod and real train mod. Its to make realistic powerlines in a Minecraft world.

Just verified, The old installers work just fine, however we don't support walking you thought the basics of your launcher. Especially for older versions. You're on your own.
