January 2, 20232 yr Quote net.minecraftforge.fml.config.ConfigFileTypeHandler$ConfigLoadingException: Failed loading config file tombstone-server.toml of type SERVER for modid tombstone One of your mods has a broken/corrupted config file. You can find it world/serverconfig If you don't have a backup of this file, delete it and it will be recreated with default values. The usual cause of this problem, is your computer not shutting down properly (e.g. power outage) which means file changes are not flushed to the physical disk by the operating system. Forge updates the config files everytime you boot the game to make sure the files have all the latest config options specified by the mods. Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one. If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com You should also read the support forum sticky post.
January 2, 20232 yr Well, yeah i figured it was broken hence why i said i've been deleting them. Minecraft keeps saying so many of them are just broken and ive been going through them. and then deleting them. idk how many there are. the tombstone and other one i posted are examples. do i have to go through all of them then? is there an easier way?
January 2, 20232 yr Look at the file sizes in the folder. If the OS failed to save the file it is usually "empty". Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. January 2, 20232 yr It depends how your OS reports file sizes. But probably, yes. Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. January 2, 20232 yr Author huh well sadly that doesnt seem to be the case as its reported a file that had 4kb and not 0, so i dont think it has to do with file size ---- Minecraft Crash Report ---- // You're mean. January 2, 20232 yr Quote 4kb and not 0 That's what I said above and why I quoted "empty" above. Some OSes allocate a certain amount of space for a file even if it is empty. January 2, 20232 yr Author im sorry i just dont understand then. how exactly would i know what file is "empty" if they all show up as having some kb with them? im running windows if that helps. and sorry if im wasting your time
January 2, 20232 yr If you have such a filesystem, the file size will be misleading. You could try something like wc -c * if you are using a un*x. It prints the "byte count" for every file in a directory. System admin commands are not really my expertise. 🙂 Edited January 2, 20232 yr by warjort Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. January 2, 20232 yr Author yeah that seems way to complicated for me, would it be possible for me to just delete the entire config folders (config/server config) and then just let minecraft add them back and i can retinker with them afterwards? Edited January 2, 20232 yr by Bandee Dee more clear
January 2, 20232 yr I would backup them up first in case one of the mods is misusing the config file to store real data in someway.
