Hello! I'm not at all new to Minecraft, but I'm very new to Forge, which is not helped at all by the fact that I cannot download it because the space where it should have a Windows Installer option is instead occupied by the regular installer option. I am not at all tech savvy, so I might just be missing something, but I cannot get it to install using the typical installer link, and both my shallow well of knowledge, and the Internets vast one, says that there should be a windows installer option. I am terribly sorry if I am just missing something- like I said, I really could not be less tech savvy if I tried.

All this to say; Does anybody know why the Windows installer option isn't showing up, or even better! Know how to fix it?

At the top of this forum is the EAQ (excessively asked questions).

Read the part where it asks "How do I install Forge?".

There is no windows specific installer.

The installer uses java. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Write_once,_run_anywhere

Boilerplate:

If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one.

If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install

Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com  You should also read the support forum sticky post.
