Posted April 3, 20232 yr I am using the latest version (1.19.4-45.0.40) of forge to develop a mod. I can't seem to find any up to date information on the newest changes and I am stuck now. I have a custom crop that I am trying to register with the following code: private static <T extends Block> RegistryObject<Item> registerBlockItem(String name, RegistryObject<T> block, CreativeModeTab tab) { return ModItems.ITEMS.register(name, () -> new BlockItem(block.get(), new Item.Properties().tab(tab))); } Item.Properties does not have a tab method anymore and I am not sure what I need to do to fix this issue. My complete class file is on Github. Thanks everyone!
April 3, 20232 yr https://docs.minecraftforge.net/en/latest/legacy/porting/ Mojang changed how the creative mode tabs work in 1.19.3 Edited April 3, 20232 yr by warjort Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one. If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com You should also read the support forum sticky post.
April 3, 20232 yr Author I've looked through the primer on porting and I've made some changes to the code: private static <T extends Block> RegistryObject<Item> registerBlockItem(String name, RegistryObject<T> block) { return ModItems.ITEMS.register(name, () -> new BlockItem(block.get(), new Item.Properties())); } This doesn't show any errors in IntelliJ, but I get a java.lang.NullPointerException: Registry Object not present: boulanger:hard_red_spring_wheat now. Crash report. I thought that I was registering my block with the following code: public static final RegistryObject<Block> HARD_RED_SPRING_WHEAT = BLOCKS.register("hard_red_spring_wheat", () -> new HardRedSpringWheat(BlockBehaviour.Properties.copy(Blocks.WHEAT))); My class file as well as all the source code on Github.
April 3, 20232 yr Here you register your items. https://github.com/elytraByte/Boulanger/blob/15054c1a152cc780467459ab57860602090684a2/src/main/java/org/l3e/Boulanger/Boulanger.java#L35 Where do you do the same thing for your blocks? April 3, 20232 yr Author Oh what an oversight on my part! Adding a line to my main class has resolved this issue! Thank you so much for the help!
