Posted April 27, 20232 yr I followed this tutorial to set up my forge server. I get past the EULA, but when I run the batch it doesn't launch anything like in this section of the video. It runs something, goes through a bunch of code, then prompts "Press any key to continue." Upon doing so, it shuts down. Attached are two images, one showing the end of the text described, and another showing the log of my attempt. Any assistance on this would be very welcome. I'm very new to this and have only started a vanilla server before. Pardon my ignorance if this is simple, but my searches for a solution are coming up empty. April 27, 20232 yr Plase don't post text as images, especially if you just going to truncate error message so we can't see the error. Anyway, use java 17. Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one. If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com You should also read the support forum sticky post.
April 27, 20232 yr It's also a bad idea to something that updates the file system as often as minecraft on OneDrive. April 28, 20232 yr Author I appreciate the help! This worked perfectly. I just needed to adjust my PATH in my environment and it worked! And thanks for the etiquette tip. I'll keep that in mind.
