Forge 1.19.4 exit code 1

This is my first time using this platform for support, so apologies if I'm missing any information in the initial post or I'm not doing anything correctly.

I've been trying to troubleshoot my problems independently for the last few days, looking through articles, videos, forums, and I'm having no luck fixing the error issue. I have updated my computer, my driver and java, uninstalled and re-installed MC, removing mods and re-installing them, logged out and back in, restarted my computer, tried going back to previous versions, etc...Nothing seems to correct the problem. No issues with playing vanilla Minecraft java...Anyone have any ideas?

Most recent crash report is from 4/23/23 and 4/24/23, I'll include those if that's helpful. Included launcher logs from 4/28/23 - 4/30/23 and debug logs from 4/30/23.

Dropbox with all logs, reports and screenshots of game output: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/5a8x7hpxn5falzuejn4e3/h?dl=0&rlkey=wmtsg6b6ffxtipac406zsovgb

Let me know if you can't access the dropbox.

[30Apr2023 01:34:17.850] [main/DEBUG] [net.minecraftforge.fml.loading.FMLServiceProvider/CORE]: Loading configuration

The last thing in the log is that, so I would guess there is something wrong with the config/fml.toml file.

If you don't have a backup, delete the file and it will be recreated with default values.

If that doesn't fix it, post a link to the launcher_log.txt

Boilerplate:

If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one.

If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install

Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com  You should also read the support forum sticky post.

I deleted it fml.toml and the game starts but there is no text- only empty brackets where the letters should be (empty brackets.png). Now, it hits me with the exit code -1 (the Forge 1.19.4.png) when I try to load a world or even when I enter the settings.

Do I need to delete the config file for the traveler backpack and the forge client? Would that fix the text problem as well?

Same problem different config file.

Config files will usually get recreated with default values if you delete them. Unless the mod author is doing something weird.

I have no idea what is causing the missing text, if it is not some knock-on effect from the broken mod loading.

Maybe optifine?

Or, the errors with the broken config files are usually caused by the computer not getting shutdown properly (e.g. power outage) so windows does not flush the files to the hard drive.

Maybe you have some other corrupted file in your minecraft installation caused by the same problem?

If the problem persists, I would suggest backing up your saves and then reinstalling minecraft and forge.
