Posted May 3, 20232 yr could anyone help me out with trying to fix this problem? I'm noticing it while trying to update my mod to 1.19.3. Not really sure what's going on here... entity is a child of this class https://gist.github.com/Crescentine/028745bebb8685eee4a13294cb638dfd Basically, gravity is completely scuffed and its not going down smoothly like it was in 1.19.2. Is there some sort of change or whatever I need to implement? Is it related to Geckolib4? This is my whole project repo - https://github.com/Crescentine/Trajans-Core Video showing the problem Thanks in advance to any insight anyone can provide.
May 3, 20232 yr I don't know much about geckolib, but it seems like there is no interpolation between the positions across frames. You should probably check your renderer to see what is happening there.
May 7, 20232 yr Author But the hitbox is physically moving downwards roughly - how is that the rendrer if the entity itself is moving?
May 7, 20232 yr The entity moves once per tick (1/20th of a second) or at 20 TPS (ticks per second). There are usually more frames drawn (FPS) than the game ticks (or should be). To smooth this out Minecraft has a notion of "partial tick". If you look at the vanilla renderers there are plenty of places where it "Lerps" (linear interpolates) between an original and end value based on this partial tick. Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one. If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com You should also read the support forum sticky post.

I would totally download this mod and set it on a ship or a castle of mines
