It's having difficulties connecting to mojang's website for some reason.

You should check your network/configuration.

And maybe see if you can access that file in your browser.

Boilerplate:

If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one.

If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install

Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com  You should also read the support forum sticky post.

Fix your network configuration.

Probably it's your operating system's "hosts" file (usually caused by using pirated minecraft launchers - not supported here)

Or some other DNS problem, ask your internet provider or network administrator.

After further digging and whatnot (as it turns out I can't even download other versions of Minecraft) it seems that I have an issue similar to this https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCL-23025 and rn I'm trying every solution to see if I can do something.
Posting this in case somebody else sees this post with the same issue as me.

Also I have non-pirated Minecraft Launcher

After long and painful progress I figured out it has got to do with Wi-Fi connection as I could not access it on all devices even though I could like a year ago. I used Mobile Internet and downloaded it.
