AttachCapabilitiesEvent<BlockEntity> event not procking when combined with OptiFine

Recommended Posts

Forge version 1.19.4 - 45.0.66

Optifine HD U I4 1.19.4

https://github.com/sp614x/optifine/issues/7395

Optifine refuses to solve the issue after several DMs and two issues created so I came here. Perhaps Forge could change something to fix the issue. When optifine is installed with any 1.19.4 forge version the AttachCapabilitiesEvent<BlockEntity> event never happens thus almost every technology mod is broken.

I mean, Forge does not cater to OptiFine because OptiFine doesn't want to be compatible with other mods. If OptiFine chooses not to care, then just don't use it. There are plently of other mods which can be used as alternatives (rubidium for performance and oculus for shaders).

I am aware of this but it was worth a shot to make a post anyway. I'm a modpack dev and a majority of my users have low end PCs. Rubidium and Oculus don't grant much a performance boost. Optifine is superior. I'm having to make 100 people choose between optifine and computer craft. I would fix it myself if optifine wasn't closed source. If there is any kind of hot fix forge could provide I am willing to pay for it.

The answer isn't gunna change. Optifine is well known to break many things and not fix them. Its recommended to avoid it. There is nothing we can do on our end to fix it being broken.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
