  It seems to be an AMD/ATI driver issue. Did you happen to grab the latest drivers directly from their official website? Avoid using the system updater for this. Personally, I rely on GeForce Experience to keep my drivers current, and I’ve never encountered problems with their updates. By the way, could you suggest which site you’d recommend?

  I had the same issue until I updated to the latest compatible version of both Forge and Optifine, turns out my Forge version was too new for the Optifine build.
