run.bat is not working

so i am trying to set up a modded server with some friends but when i downloaded it i tried using the run.bat file and it said

"Error: Could not find or load main class @user_jvm_args.txt                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Press any key to continue . . ." now i did check the forums a bit but not to much so sorry if someone has the same problem

You need to use Java 17 for 1.20.1. Instructions on how to find out what Java version you need and how to get it are in the FAQ:
