I have two ideas to add to Minecraft Forge,

 

1. Add an optional update checker.

 

2. Add ability to change what mods are active ingame.

please don't post saying if someone has already suggested either of these because that won't really lead anywhere.

1. Add an optional update checker.

Already suggested and denied, There is really no reason to do this, We could but typically updating is bound to your mods, not anything to do with Forge itself.

2. Add ability to change what mods are active ingame.

For technical reasons this is not possible, so now.
