If you too are on Windows 11, and Minecraft Forge 1.19.2 doesn't work but 1.18.2 does, then I may have a solution.😃

ERROR

I've tried literally everything and finally found something.🙄😒😮‍💨

Here's a screen shot of my launcher game's file location, or launcher rather:

and here are those of my buddy who is on Windows 10 :

Strange files, don't you think ??????🤔
The folder looks, how can I put it? a bit EMPTY, almost...😮

 

Anyway, he sent them to me and I simply copied and pasted, and it worked.🤪

An easier way is just to use the old Launcher

Windows 7/8 version:

https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download/alternative

This one is not integrated with the Windows Store and works as separate installation - so there is no issue with these files

This Launcher also works with Win 11/11
