[1.20.1] I cant figure our how to use the pBlockSetter for my TrunkPlacer to make branch logs generate sideways

i want to have the branch logs on the side of the tree generate side ways instead of upright. I was told to use the pBlockSetter but that was it.

You have to rotate the BlockState you want to place and not the BlockPos.
