I'm working on an item that despawns a mob when you right click a specific mob with it. I've been trying to work backwards from making the entity spawn from an item, but I can't seem to make it work. I would post what code I have so far, but for some reason the website is not letting me post a code or spoiler. Basically I am trying to use the Method OnItemUse with a statement world.removeEntity();. I'll try to get my actual code on here another time. In the mean time, does anyone have an idea of what code would work to accomplish this?

You could use world.removeEntity(entityToRemove) if you can find the entity from your item method. There are several ways to do so, one of which that is easy is to spawn a projectile on right click, then when the projectile impacts check if it's a living entity and remove it like above. Extending EntityThrowable and setting the gravity adjustment to 0 is an easy one.

There's also Item#itemInteractionForEntity

I think I'll try the whole EntityThrowable route. My problem with just using ItemInteractionForEntity is that I don't have a World parameter to refer to for removing the entity. Unless you guys know a good class to extend for this situation?
