Is there a way to write a NBTCompoundTag to a Block?

I have a custom block and it needs to generate several different GUIs randomly. But once a specific instance of that block has already been created I don't want the GUI that it has selected to change. Therefore I can have 100 GUIs and 1 block that knows which one of the 100 to open when it is used.

You would need a BlockContainer and a TileEntity to do this.

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Your TileEntity is required to write NBT data in order to be saved and loaded from disc, your GUI thing would be stored there.
