[1.8.9] Getting color of a block

I have coordinates of a block, and I want to a) check if that block is a glass_pane, and b) if the color of the glass_pane (considering it is so) is magenta. I have solved the a) part, i can check if a block is a glass_pane, however i dont know how to check for the color. Forge 1.8.9 btw. Anyone to help? Thanks!

of the top of my head (it's been many years and i will not set up the 1.8 workspace):
there is a method getBlockMetaSomething (maybe getBlockMetadata or getBlockMeta, not sure); call it after the getBlock call, printout metadata (integer, 0-15). find the values for colors that interest you.
