Hello. I`m trying to add a texture for my block but I don't know where to save it. Can someone please tell me where to save it? Thank you.

Note: I'm relativity new to 1.6 modding but I have had experience with 1.4 modding.

I'm back from being gone for... I think its been about a year. I'm pretty sure nobody remembers me, but hello anybody who does!

the textures go in your src/minecraft/assets/<modname>/textures/blocks

you should also go look up some forge tut on the wiki because stuff has changed since 1.4

This was useful but unfortunately the gradle setup now changes a lot. So where do I put it?

Please ask in the Gradle forum or include the fact that you're using Gradle in your opening post or we will "take a guess" at what setup you're using and end up being wrong.

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked.

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

Create a new package in your src/main/java. Name it

assets.[modname].textures.block(sor items, etc depending on what you've made.)

make a package for each type of asset, consult your .minecraft for all the default asset folders. Just place the .png inside of the package, and properly call it in the code. Example:

Item newItem = new Item(5001).setTextureName("modname:textureName.png");

Thank you for this. And I'm sorry about not being clear in my post.
