Installation for dummies 101 please

I'm getting frustrated with the installation of Forge. I'm not able to force the install.cmd to work and in the best case all I get is a " 'python_mcp' is not recognised... blah blah blah..." and the new installation process just seems overall too complicated.

Yes, probably I'm doing something wrong, but forge used to be more gamer friendly imho. What happened to the good old drag and drop the folders into .jar and be done with it? Sigh...

So can some please write a guide to this new weirdo installation step by step, line under line, where it doesn't blend into barely readable wall of text?

its there, you're being stupid and trying to install the source distro without reading the readme.

Want a install guide:

Download universal

Copy files in minecraft.jar

Done...

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

Then i'm stupid too, I thought i read the readme, Talking about MCP (?) and then modifying the JDK, I'm confused and i just want to play with mods ;_;

How to add my mob to another mod's biome in 1.20.1.

You can add mob spawns using Forge's Biome Modifiers feature. I won't go into details on how to use a data generator for them, but here's a simple example:
