Can someone please help me fix every new mod i install the font turns into giant rectangles

...but when i re-open the game again, all my resource packs are disabled, and the font is back. also, i re-enable my texturepacks and it doesn't reset it for me. someone please help? forge 1.20.1 - 47.4.0.

once again, this only happens when I install ONE NEW MOD.
