Best performance mods for Forge 1.20.1?

Hi everyone,

I'm running a heavy modpack on Forge 1.20.1 and I'm starting to experience quite a bit of lag and FPS drops. I'm looking for performance optimization mods that can help improve stability, reduce stuttering, and boost overall performance (especially client-side, but server-side improvements are welcome too).

So far, I’m aware of a few optimization tools for older versions, but I’d love to know which ones are currently compatible with Forge 1.20.1 and still being maintained.

Does anyone have a list of must-have optimization mods for Forge 1.20.1? Ideally, mods that don’t break compatibility with popular modpacks.

Thank you very much. My minecraft loading screen takes a long time to load. Do you have any idea what this could be and how to resolve the issue?

320 mods yes.. But for example, on a big modpack like ATM or BetterMC, the loading time is not too long.. idk why

Maybe it refers to specific mods

Maybe use one of these modpacks as working base and add some new mods in groups

Failed loading villager cartographer registered at cartographer - frozen tick

Allocated 10 Gb of ram. Could try again with more but I read using too much can slow things down as well. Going to try another big modpack and see if i can replicate the problem. It seems like this cartographer problem is kind of popular and doesn't have a solid solution yet, but i suspect its some generation mod since it's a crash that happens when specific chunks are being loaded. so i'll still try to lookout for what mod it could be as i add. i'll report back after testing as you suggested for a bit

I have no idea - is enough RAM allocated?
Do other pre-configured modpacks work? Maybe use such a modpack as working base and add new mods one by one

The settings.gradle file has been fixed. But, the build.gradle has an error now.
Error:
