Friend can't play MC 1.12.2 due to no java 8 despite it being installed

My friend has an iMac laptop (apple silicon, same as mine except mine is a desktop). She has jre 8 installed and jdk 1.8 (yes the arm versions where installed) installed on her computer, but when she tries to launch the custom modded instillation for my server that's 1.12.2 it says she does not have java 8 installed. Mine runs fine and I have had no issues, I did not need to force it to find any file. She does have jdk 25 and temurin 17 installed also, idk if that is causing an issue? We went through the instillation and forced it to find the java file by selecting it in the executable line , but after we tried that, it still says the same error message. When we launched terminal to try and find the home for java 8 it keeps finding some java plugin that's not the main java file. Even when we select the java file in the jdk 1.8 folder it still says java 8 is not installed! I know a bit more then her but I'm no expert. Can anyone here help? She can't play on our 1.12.2 server until I can figure out a fix. Any info or help is appreciated!

Game crashes when placing the create block (Mechanical Press)

Sounds like the Oculus mod is conflicting with Embeddium! Could you try removing or updating it to see if the crash stops??

Okay, the fix is to remove mixinextras-common from dependencies in the run configuration.

If you aren't using mixin extras then you can remove mixinextras-common from libraries in build path then it should work.
