Question about CurseForge

Featured Replies

I have made myself a custom minecraft launcher for a custom modpack and personal project that I have, and it works pretty much how i want it to. Basically all it does is download the modpack from github in a directory and if it's downloaded it opens the minecraft launcher with the installation to there. But for some reason in AMD Graphic Cards I get the problem "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION at atio6axx.dll+0x6c7f38". What is confusing me is how whenever I have the same files and everything on CurseForge the game does not crash. I have triedthe Minecraft Launcher to the same JVM Arguments, directory and Java executable and still didn't work. I am wondering how does CurseForge work around the AMD crash?

I have tried:
matching exact JVM args from CurseForge

matching game directory

matching Java executable

reinstalled AMD drivers multiple times

My specs:
Windows 11

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D

AMD RX 9070 XT

Java 17.0.15

Forge 1.20.1-47.4.0

LWJGL 3.3.1
