Posted March 14, 201411 yr run the bat file for minecraft forge 1.7.2 sever and I get error in the command window. Errors about java class launcher, etc. This is my bat file: java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar forge-1.7.2-10.12.0.1046-universal.jar pause I think I screwed up with my java bin directory. I have windows 7 64 bit with 4 GB RAM I used 1.72 forge because a video said that 1.7.2 had a lot of mods for it. I do not have any mods installed right now, I also have client Forge 1.7.2 but have no mods for that yet either. I also have a vanilla serer with the .exe server file in a separate folder. Please let me know if you need more information. PurpleSweetTart Sorry if this post is in the wrong place.
March 15, 201411 yr You need to use the installer, even for the server. it'll download the required libraries in the exact folder structure that it needs to be. If the libraries, or minecraft_server jar is not next exactly right/placed exactly right, then you wont be able to start the server. So, ya, use the installer. I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated. Consider supporting the team on Patreon
March 15, 201411 yr Author ow do I copy the text of the error from the command prompt? You need to post the output of the command line, or logs if the server actually launches.
