Niteryder Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 I am running Ubuntu 12.04 with forge server. It works great, but where the hell is the mods folder so I can run things like buildcraft? The sever has no .minecraft folder or mods folder anywhere. It created some files and folders in the directory where the minecraft_server.1.7.2.jar resides. Quote
LexManos Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 The mods folder is in the working directory, so, wherever you run the server. Quote I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated. Consider supporting the team on Patreon
Niteryder Posted March 19, 2014 Author Posted March 19, 2014 Thanks that worked great. I put buildcraft on the server and it works. But, it seems like it only works when the client has buildcraft installed as well. Is this normal. Quote
LexManos Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Yes... How do you expect the client to know what a quarry, or a pipe look like unless they have the mod? How do they know what items are added or how they function? Yes, you need to have the client mods. Quote I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
