Posted March 26, 201411 yr I created new dimension and want make in it custom biome. But when I use custom blocks it do not work (nothing generate instead of my blocks), but with standart blocks all work fine. In old version use blocks with ID <256. In 1.7.2 ID is no. How make this with 1.7.2? public class BiomeGenBlackForest extends BiomeGenBase { public BiomeGenBlackForest(int par1) { super(par1); this.spawnableCreatureList.clear(); this.spawnableMonsterList.clear(); this.topBlock = Block.getBlockFromName("blockBlackGrass");//not work this.fillerBlock =mod_MicroUkr.blockBlack;//not work this.theBiomeDecorator.treesPerChunk = -999; this.theBiomeDecorator.flowersPerChunk = -999; this.theBiomeDecorator.grassPerChunk = -999; this.rootHeight =1.0F;// //0.01F; this.heightVariation=0.000001F; //this.setBiomeName("Doomed Land"); this.waterColorMultiplier = 0xFF0000; } }
March 26, 201411 yr Could you post your mod_MicroUkr class? and could you confirm that you are indeed generating your biome in that dimension?
March 27, 201411 yr Author When I change this.topBlock and this.fillerBlock to standart block - all work fine. I see this blocks. But when I use my custom blocks - I see only the blocks that have to be under my blocks. My blocks I not see. package yorri.mods.mod_MicroUkr; @Mod(modid=mod_MicroUkr.MODID, name=mod_MicroUkr.NAME, version=mod_MicroUkr.VERSION, useMetadata = true) public class mod_MicroUkr { public static final String MODID = "microukr"; public static final String NAME = "MicroUkr"; public static final String VERSION = "1.2.F6"; public static int id; //Блоки //Україній, Вишиваній,Ендер Україній, Скарб //Портал public static Block blockPortalDarkLand; //Мертва земля public static Block blockBlackGrass; public static Block blockBlack; //Чорне дерево public static Block blockBlackWood; //Чорне листя public static Block blockBlackLeaf; //Чорні дошки public static Block blockBlackPlank; ... //Біоми //Чорний Ліс public static final BiomeGenBase blackForest = (new BiomeGenBlackForest(50)).setColor(0x000000).setBiomeName("BlackForest"); static int startEntityId=3000; public static int getUniqueEntityId() { do { startEntityId++; } while (EntityList.getStringFromID(startEntityId) != null); return startEntityId++; } @Mod.Instance(mod_MicroUkr.MODID) public static mod_MicroUkr mod; public static int dimensionId = 8; public static ItemSpawnEgg spawnEgg; @EventHandler public void preInit(FMLPreInitializationEvent event) { // ---Блоки--- ... //Чорне дерево blockBlackWood = new BlockBlackWood(getUniqueEntityId()).setBlockName("blockBlackWood"); GameRegistry.registerBlock(blockBlackWood, blockBlackWood.getUnlocalizedName().substring(5)); //Чорне листя blockBlackLeaf = new BlockBlackLeaf(getUniqueEntityId()).setBlockName("blockBlackLeaf"); GameRegistry.registerBlock(blockBlackLeaf, blockBlackLeaf.getUnlocalizedName().substring(5)); //Чорні дошки blockBlackPlank = new BlockBlackPlank(getUniqueEntityId()).setBlockName("blockBlackPlank"); GameRegistry.registerBlock(blockBlackPlank, blockBlackPlank.getUnlocalizedName().substring(5)); GameRegistry.addRecipe(new ItemStack(blockBlackPlank, 4), new Object[] {"W", 'W', new ItemStack(blockBlackWood)}); ... //Створювач порталу portalPlacer = new ItemPortalPlacer(getUniqueEntityId()).setTextureName(mod_MicroUkr.MODID + ":" + "portalPlacer"); GameRegistry.registerItem(portalPlacer, portalPlacer.getUnlocalizedName().substring(5)); //Біоми //Вимір DimensionManager.registerProviderType(mod_MicroUkr.dimensionId, WorldProviderDarkLand.class, false); DimensionManager.registerDimension(mod_MicroUkr.dimensionId, mod_MicroUkr.dimensionId); } @EventHandler public void init(FMLInitializationEvent event) { } @EventHandler public void postInit(FMLPostInitializationEvent event) { DefaultFunctionality.addAllSpawnEggs(); } @EventHandler public void serverStarting(FMLServerStartingEvent event) { } }
March 30, 201411 yr Why are you registering / making your items during class construction? They need to be in a method (preInit) with (FMLPreInitializationEvent) for Forge to read. Check this out: http://www.wuppy29.com/minecraft/modding-tutorials/forge-modding-1-7/
March 30, 201411 yr Author I make it in public void preInit(FMLPreInitializationEvent event) All me blocks and items work fine. I am interesting how add my custon blocks (with Forge1.7.2) to generate.
March 30, 201411 yr Author Hmm... When I looked carefully in launched game I see that all my custom blocks have ID less 256. I checked it out int a1=Block.getIdFromBlock(mod_MicroUkr.blockBlack); System.out.println( "blockBlack id " + a1); ... but this not help me
April 1, 201411 yr You are defining your black forest biome before you define you blocks. Since mod_MicroUkr.blockBlack is null when public static final BiomeGenBase blackForest = (new BiomeGenBlackForest(50)).setColor(0x000000).setBiomeName("BlackForest"); is called, this.TopBlock is set to null. You need to either define mod_MicroUkr.blockBlack before you define Black Forest, or else you will need to change black forest to not final and define it after defining and registering your blocks.
April 2, 201411 yr Author Yes!!! I knew about this problem (as in contact with it) but somehow forgot. Thank you very much! It works!
