Hello, I am making a mod with custom furnace and It is more than 1 block big. The Furnace is 3 blocks wide and 3 blocks tall. I have tried to use setBlockBounds and getCollisionBoundingBoxFromPool, but I don't know how to use them. I have looked at other code for other blocks, but I can't seem to figure it out. Can someone please explain how I could use this method for what I need? Also I have also run into the problem that the bounding box only shows up if I look at the block were the furnace is. All help is appreciated. Thank you in advance!

i tried to use setBlockBounds and getCollisionBoundingBoxFromPool too, but it was kind of buggy...

I think the best solution would be to create a 3x3x3 3d model.

or make a multiblock structure...

This thread makes me sad because people just post copy-paste-ready code when it's obvious that the OP has little to no programming experience. This is not how learning works.

That could be a little bit difficult, because how do you pause/stop the smelting progress if a block is broken?

You would have to constantly check if all blocks are still in place...

And what would you do if a block is brocken? pause the process/drop all items/...

The block in the center can do all the processing. When a block outside is right-clicked, then give the GUI the position of the center block. When a block is broken, break all other blocks and the Drops will be given from the centered block.

It's not that hard.

For my furnace it acts like a crafting table in that it has a separate instance for each player who uses it. I have an idea now, can someone tell me if it would work. Could I create an invisible block that can be placed over the the current 3D modeled block. The player would never have access to the building of the furnace because this is a mod for a map. Then I could set up the block bounds so that they overlap and when a player right clicks the place it opens the gui, I wouldn't have to direct it to the block because the gui is separate for each player.

Well, you'd have some code in the updateTick or onNeighborBlockChange method that would determine if a part of the multi block structure was removed—similar to how a torch determines if the block it's placed on is removed. In any case, it's not as hard as you think, and there are oodles of resources at your fingertips for learning how to create such a structure—maybe check mDiyo's TiCon smeltery thingy (sorry!) for starters. :)
