You could see how the client does it with it's 3D rendering (when you drop an item while graphics are fancy). Haven't done this myself but this is what I would do if I needed to. Maybe you could use this method or if not use it as a base for your own method

This thread makes me sad because people just post copy-paste-ready code when it's obvious that the OP has little to no programming experience. This is not how learning works.

IMO, creating a (ticking) EntityItem just to render some item seems like a waste of resources.
