When I try to start minecraft after installing forge it gets about 95% done loading and stops.

Can anyone help?

Did you delete META_INF? If yes, try an another archiver like 7zip and do it again with a fresh jar file! Looks like your archiver screws things up.

This thread makes me sad because people just post copy-paste-ready code when it's obvious that the OP has little to no programming experience. This is not how learning works.

I had forgotten to delete the META-INF folder, thank you for your help.
