I'd like to make my mob spawn during full moon only, but I can't find any code in forge or anything about doing this. Is it possible? at all?

If I helped please press the Thank You button.

If I rember right, there is a variable for phase of the moon in the world provider.

You could then use an entityspawn event to watch for the moon to be right and then replace the spawning of other mobs with your custom mob.

You could also on your custom mob change the function for is it a good spawn that normally just looks at light and such to also look at the moon phase.

The method you're looking for is

worldObj.getCurrentMoonPhaseFactor()

and it returns 1.0F if it's full moon.

Also there's no need for an event for a custom entity, just override getCanSpawnHere() and check for the moon phase there

This thread makes me sad because people just post copy-paste-ready code when it's obvious that the OP has little to no programming experience. This is not how learning works.

That would be the 2nd option I gave him, but couldn't remember the name of the function.
