Posted June 14, 201411 yr Forget this post. I somehow managed to damage the entity in a way that I have to recreate it Heyho Guys! I want to create a Entity which produces custom particles which are controlled by the entity in Order to rotate around it. The problem is the following: I placed the controll methods in the onUpdate method inside of an if-clause to ensure its client side. (!worldObj.isRemote) because on the server side I can't handle my particles as they extend client-only EntityFX. But onUpdate seems to be called only a few times, I think when a Entity is created. Why? And which method should I use in order to get an update each tick? http://i.imgur.com/wNvtGZw.png[/img] MODS and MODDING TUTORIALS
June 14, 201411 yr Hi I'm pretty sure Entity.onUpdate() gets called every tick while the Entity is not dead. What makes you think your Entity stops receiving onUpdate() ? -TGG
June 14, 201411 yr You are using this code" if(!world.isRemote) and with that code you are doing thing SERVER side, so you should remove the exclamation mark to make it work CLIENT side. Don't PM me with questions. They will be ignored!
