Posted June 21, 201411 yr In my current WIP mod, I would like to have the server side and client somewhat independent of each other, in the sense that the client side does not require the server side to function (although only in a limited way), and the server side does not require the client to allow a player to connect. With the changes following the 1.7 update, I'm not really sure how things work now, so was wondering if anyboady had any suggestion on how to do this. June 22, 201411 yr There is a option in the Mod annotation to determine how the network code handles the mod existing on the other side or not. Its fairly straight forward to do it just requires you to do some testing in dedicated environments. I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
