I need help how to start rendering screen in white.

I looked at RenderGameOverlayEvent and was gonna ask if im doing the right thing to use this as the event.

Also how do i make a white screen on the event do i need to setup some particles or Tesselators or GL11 stuff?

You just want a white screen. That's all? You could make a class that extends Gui, then have a method in it that is the @SubscribeEvent method to RenderGameOveralyEvent.PRE then call the drawRect method that is inside GUI. Draw a white rectangle that fills the screen. Done.

We all stuff up sometimes... But I seem to be at the bottom of that pot.

Ok nice nice i make a progress now .

What if i want it to apply as a potion effect ?

Should i just make a custom potion effect file then put a

private GuiRenderWhitescreen screen;

then do it in the method of performEffect?
