Hey guys, I'm trying to setup my eclipse environment to work with the latest 1.6.4 forge src, but whenever it starts to decompile I get this error at the end:

Backing up server

Download of minecraft_server.1.6.4.jar failed hash check, deleting abcf286a14f7aee82e8bf89270433509 ba3145656b1480122bd8759cecd7b7a1

Something failed verifying minecraft files, see log for details.

Decompile Exception: 1

And if I go ahead and bring it into Eclipse like this the "src" file is empty

Do not mod for 1.6.4.

I'm helping someone with a mod that they haven't updated to 1.7, the plan was for me to help update it, but I can't get forge to setup properly.

Why do you need forge for 1.6 for that? Make a 1.7 workspace and throw the mod code in there. Then fix the errors.

(And also: 1.6.4 is still stupidly simple to set up. Don't use the MCP-based setup.)

How do i NOT use the MCP-based setup and install forge src files?

There needs to be an official tutorial on how to set it up if it's "stupidly simple"

Again, we do not support making mods for older versions. You will get no support for that here.

Update.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
