Chests not spawning when starting a new world 1.8

Sorry if this has been brought up but I have noticed in 1.8 build 1247 that the game will not let me destroy and recover torches pick up plants, and no chests spawning, well 1248 fixed all but the chests, and now the just released 1249 hasn't fixed this either...

 

Just letting everyone know, no response needed until bug is fixed, thanks...

    Just creating a new world does this, I don't know where the chests are supposed to be but when not using Forge the Vanilla Minecraft will place a chest to start near the player within view... I can make a video of it, but it took 19 hours to upload a 9 minute video I just did...

    Ah THe BONUS chest thats an important information.

    This is not enabled by default you have to actually enable it in your world settings.

    Ah, but i do, at least i think i do... when u go to create a new world it it under more and next to cheats... i have not tried the newest builds but maybe it has been resolved. I just dont know yet, what build did u use?
