Hi,

Not sure why, but I cannot seem to download 1.7.10 anymore.

It worked once and then the mod I was using crashed, so I thought I'd do a completely clean install of minecraft and now I am unable to download any version of forge: 1.7.2, 1.7.10 or 1.8.

This is the error I get when I ran java -jar forge-1.7.10-10.13.2.1258-installer.jar

http://pastebin.com/BjAE4M0S

I am using:

java version "1.8.0_25"

Java SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_25-b18)

Java HotSpot 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.25-b02, mixed mode)

on a Windows 7 machine.

I have tried different internet connections and get the same result.

The dialog that popups states:

These libraries failed to download. Try again:

com.typesafe.....

There are a lot.

I followed this thread 1.7.2 Libraries failed to download

by downloading the files that wouldn't install from: https://bitbucket.org/luacs1998/forgelibrarydownloads/downloads/fmllibs16.zip

So 1.7.2 installs, but as soon as I run minecraft it crashes out with:

[01:18:59] [main/INFO] [LaunchWrapper]: Using primary tweak class name cpw.mods.fml.common.launcher.FMLTweaker

I get something similar to 1.7.10 with 1.8.

Thanks.

Read the EAQ.

Hi luacs1998

I have now explicitly listed every step to the best of my ability as per the EAQ and have included any steps I omitted in first post.

The forum states using the latest MC, which is 1.7.2, I thought that it was just 1.7.2, not that there was a 1.7.2 MC download. So I have tried again with forge-1.7.2-10.12.2.1161-mc172-installer.jar

I did read the EAQ before my first post which is why I kept searching through the forum and found the post about 1.7.2 which was also noted in the EAQ, which I followed and it didn't work.

Also, I realize I will only get help with 1.7.2 MC, not 1.7.10 it was just I tried 1.7.2, 1.7.10 and 1.8.

1.7.10 actually worked initially, but the mod I had failed, so I uninstalled it and tried 1.7.2 and only to find that I couldn't install any version of forge anymore....

If I have still missed anything, if you could please direct me to a particular point in the EAQ that'd I missed that much appreciated.

Thanks.

Be sure to include the entire logs/fml-{client/server}-latest.log (pre. 1.7.2) resp. ForgeModLoader-{client/server}-0.log (1.7.2 and up). Both found in your .minecraft-folder / server root folder. Not including the log in no way helps us to help you and has a small chance of getting you banned.

fml-junk-earlystartup.log - http://pastebin.com/FtpfJJni

State clearly the order in which you installed any .jar mods and their versions and if you used a patcher/launcher and which one

1) Removed previous .minecraft folder in %appdata%

2) Uninstall Java

3) Reboot

4) Reinstall Java

5) Run Minecraft Launcher 1.5.3

6) Create new profile for 1.7.2

7) Run profile once

8 ) Run forge-1.7.2-10.12.2.1161-mc172-installer-win.exe

9) Failed with download error

10) Run java -jar forge-1.7.2-10.12.2.1161-mc172-installer.jar

11) Failed with download error, see http://pastebin.com/bRTCAyTh

12) As per EAQ I downloaded https://bitbucket.org/luacs1998/forgelibrarydownloads/downloads/fmllibs16.zip and copied into respective library folders

13) Run  java -jar forge-1.7.2-10.12.2.1161-mc172-installer.jar, install was successful grabbed 0 files, see http://pastebin.com/fE9Ja4LQ

14) Open Minecraft Launcher 1.5.3

15) Edit Forge profile to change Launcher Visibility to "Keep the launcher open"

16) Click Play button in Minecraft which failed, see  Launcher Game Output  http://pastebin.com/rKgWcdMS

Otherwise, we will need console logs, and your JVM and OS versions.

1) Console Logs - As listed above but are there any other logs I can include?

2) JVM

java version "1.8.0_25"

Java SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_25-b18)

Java HotSpot 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.25-b02, mixed mode)

3) OS Versions:

Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]

State what research you have already done (You should have done some, this forum is only for well-researched bugs!).

  • Read the EAQ
  • Tried to download scale files as per EAQ
  • Tried multiple different versions of forge
  • Uninstalled and reinstalled Java
  • Uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft
  • Searched through the forum for similar issue

Do not attach your logs to your post, either by Dropbox or whatever. Use Pastebin or http://gist.github.com

I have done this

You want to use 1.7.10, not 1.7.2. 1.7.2 has issues with Java 8 which are fixed in 1.7.10

Thank you diesieben07.

I was able to successfully install forge-1.7.10-10.13.2.1230 back on December 06 and took a copy of that .minecraft folder before I tried installing forge 1.7.2 and 1.8.

I have tried to run through the installation for 1.7.10 again just recently and it failed similar to 1.7.2.

Is there a download pack for 1.7.10 like with 1.7.2 (https://bitbucket.org/luacs1998/forgelibrarydownloads/downloads/fmllibs16.zip)?

I'll do a separate post shortly with my steps and log files for 1.7.10-10.13.2.1230

Thanks.

It's weird that the downloads fail for you. Google reveals that it might be a confusion with IPv4 vs. IPv6. Try to run the installer like this:

java -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true -jar <installer.jar>

Thanks diesieben07. It installed, but then crashed when it ran.

Tried the following:

java -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true -jar forge-1.7.10-10.13.2.1230-installer.jar

    • Reach Out To Rapid Digital: What sapp Info: +1 41 4 80 7 14 85 Email INFO: rap iddi gita lrecov ery @ exe cs. com Hello, my name is Jayson, and I’m 35 years old from the United Kingdom. My family and I recently endured an incredibly challenging experience that I wouldn’t wish on anyone. We became victims of a cryptocurrency investment fraud scheme that saw us lose a staggering $807,000 in USDT and Bitcoins. The fraudsters had created a convincing facade, and we were lured into investing, only to discover later that the platform was a complete scam. We were left devastated, not just financially, but emotionally, as we had trusted these people and believed in the legitimacy of the investment. After the initial shock wore off, we desperately searched for ways to recover the lost funds. It seemed like an impossible task, and we felt as though there was no hope. That’s when, by sheer luck, we stumbled across a post about Rapid Digital Recovery, a cryptocurrency and funds recovery organization with a proven track record in cybersecurity and fraud recovery. We decided to reach out to them, and from the first interaction, we were impressed with their professionalism and transparency. They explained the recovery process in detail and reassured us that they had the skills and expertise to track down the perpetrators and recover our funds. This gave us a renewed sense of hope, something we hadn’t felt in months. What truly stood out during our experience with Rapid Digital Recovery was their dedication to the recovery process. The team went above and beyond, using sophisticated tracking tools and cyber forensics to gather critical information. Within a matter of weeks, they had successfully located the funds and traced the scam back to the fraudsters responsible. They worked with the authorities to ensure the criminals were held accountable for their actions. To our relief, the team at Rapid Digital Recovery was able to recover every single penny we had lost. The funds were returned in full, and the sense of closure we felt was invaluable. We couldn’t have imagined such a positive outcome in the early stages of our recovery journey, and we are deeply grateful for the work they did. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, I highly recommend contacting Rapid Digital Recovery. Their expertise, transparency, and dedication to their clients make them the go-to choice for anyone seeking to recover lost cryptocurrency or funds. They truly gave us back our financial future.
    • This is my first time modding anything, so maybe just skill issue. I'm using Forge 54.0.12 and Temurin 21.0.5+11-LTS I wanted to create a custom keybind and to check whether it works I'd like to send a chat message. I tried using Minecraft.getInstance().player.sendSystemMessage(Component.literal("test")); but IntelliJ couldnt resolve sendSystemMessage(...). Since I saw people using it in earlier versions, I tried the same thing with 1.20.6(- 50.1.0), where it works fine, now I can't figure out if this is intentional and whether there are other options for sending chat messages. On that note, is there more documentation than https://docs.minecraftforge.net/en/1.21.x/? It seems very incomplete compared to something like the Oracle Java docs
    • Hi, i'm having this error and I wanna fix it. we try: -Reload drivers -Eliminate .minecraft -Eliminate Java -Restart launcher -Verify if minecraft is using gpu -Mods  in .minecraft is empty -Install the latest and recomended version of forge idk what i have to do, help me pls. the lastest log is: https://mclo.gs/WAMao8x
