Posted December 8, 201410 yr Alright so I have these achievements here: if(player.inventory.hasItem(Item.getItemFromBlock(WinterBlocks.icedStone))){ player.addStat(WinterAch.icedStone, 1); } if(player.inventory.hasItem(WinterItems.iceCrystal)){ player.addStat(WinterAch.iceCrystal, 1); } if(player.inventory.hasItem(WinterItems.iceIngot)){ player.addStat(WinterAch.iceIngot, 1); } So basically I have these all in a PlayerTickEvent which can lead onto some lag. At least logically. So I was wondering if there was a different place I could put these items with the same effect. These items are crafted in a custom furnace so using the pickup or crafting events won't be useful here.
December 8, 201410 yr Also, cache the result of Item.getItemFromBlock(WinterBlocks.icedStone) so you don't have to do the lookup every time. Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice. Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked. DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.
December 9, 201410 yr Author You can do it from your furnace, you'll probably need a custom Slot class for your output and then check when the player takes the stack out. Thanks! Forgot I had that. Also, cache the result of Item.getItemFromBlock(WinterBlocks.icedStone) so you don't have to do the lookup every time. Also done! Thanks for the help.
