This is a pretty weird one, hoping anyone can help me, I'm having issues with the load order of mods, have it working for an instance, and I can copy those files elsewhere and the new instance I make of it still works, but if I archive the files at all, whether I compress or just store them, the extracted versions have load order issues, there are no extraction errors and visual comparison of file names and ordering is precisely the same as the original instance but things fail to load in the right order. Anyone got any explanation, or helpful advice on a better way to do Load Orders other than modifying the file names with numbers and letters? I'm trying to put together a private pack of mods for a small group so direct copying of the instance is obviously not possible.

Thanks in advance!

They are sorted alphabetically by file name, no clue what you mean by extracted or anything like that....

Give logs and directory listings.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

Load order matters because of the failure of some mods to identify their own load priorities.

That said this turned out to be a memory error from perm gen, and not an actual load order issue, my bad. Sorry about that guys.
