Hi guys, I'm really sorry if this is not the right place to post but I am new at this, and just a mom with a son who really wants his mods to work. He is 8 yrs old and wants to be able to do what he see's in the videos on youtube. Normally I'm quite good when it comes to modding my own games, but Minecraft has me utterly frustrated. I have figured out how to get jar files working while using Minecraft version 1.7.10. and Forge 10.13.2. 1286  but that has been the only way I can get anything to work this far. and every zip file i've tried dragging and dropping ends up crashing at the title screen.  I have searched and read for months now and still don't understand it. So anything you can do to enlighten me would really be appreciated. bear in mind i'm a newbie, so if you need any more info, pls just ask. thanks in advance.

You have a mod for 1.7.2 (or earlier?) installed that is not compatible with 1.7.10

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked.

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

also, why does it say in the crash report '20 mods loaded' when there is only 10 jar files in the mod folder plus the zip file that would not work. so 11. :P

i've been getting the mods from www.minecraftmods.com  if there's somewhere better, i'm all ears. :)

i just went with the first thing that worked lol

"The" mod?

What about...

  iChunUtil{2.0.0} [iChunUtil] (util^iChunUtil2.0.0.zip)

  GraviGun{2.0.0} [GraviGun] (files^GravityGun2.0.0 (1).zip)

  planetguy_Gizmos{3.0} [Gizmos] (Gizmos-3.2.jar)

  lucky{5.0.0} [Lucky Block] ([1-7-2]_Lucky_Block_v5-0-0.jar)

The first four I ask because the MC version number is not listed and the last one because it still lists 1.7.2

okay, excuse my ignorance. but out of those ones you listed, lucky block is the only one that's been working. the game still loaded fine until i added

iChunUtil{2.0.0} [iChunUtil] (util^iChunUtil2.0.0.zip)

  GraviGun{2.0.0} [GraviGun] (files^GravityGun2.0.0 (1).zip)

which is what i'm assuming is the issue, i'm just not sure why. i will take off

iChunUtil{2.0.0} [iChunUtil] (util^iChunUtil2.0.0.zip)

  GraviGun{2.0.0} [GraviGun] (files^GravityGun2.0.0 (1).zip)

  planetguyLib{1.3} [planetguyLib] (PlanetguyLib-1.3.jar)

  planetguy_Gizmos{3.0} [Gizmos] (Gizmos-3.2.jar)

and i know it will work fine again, but what i was getting at is why no zip files ever work for me. I'm sure its the version numbers that i'm getting hung up on. so many numbers, its really confusing. maybe i just need to learn how to download proper files :P  i'm learning though!  thanks for whoever took a look. i just wasn't sure what else might be conflicting.

okay, thank you so much! i had no idea. i'm used to modding skyrim with the nexus mod manager and it is so easy. learning the ways of minecraft has been a gong show. i've got no clue when it comes to this stuff. same goes for posting in forums, so sorry about the wrong placement. and thanks for redirecting. :)

    • Turning the Tables: My Journey to Reclaim Stolen Bitcoins with Expert Help. When my Bitcoin wallet was hacked and my entire cryptocurrency portfolio was stolen, I felt utterly devastated and hopeless. Having worked hard to build up my digital assets, the sudden loss was gut-wrenching. It felt like my financial future had been ripped away in an instant, leaving me overwhelmed by a sense of betrayal and despair. In my search for help, I discovered TECH CYBER FORCE Recovery, a renowned cybersecurity firm specializing in cryptocurrency recovery. I was met with professionalism and empathy from my first contact with them. The team demonstrated a steadfast commitment to helping me retrieve my stolen Bitcoins. They understood the emotional toll of my situation and approached my case with genuine concern. TECH CYBER FORCE Recovery swung into action immediately, leveraging its extensive expertise in blockchain forensics and hacker tracking techniques. Their process was meticulous. They analyzed my transaction history, followed the digital trail left by the hackers, and worked diligently to pinpoint the location of the stolen funds. I was impressed by their technical prowess; they employed advanced cryptographic methods and strategic negotiations with the perpetrators, all while keeping me informed about their progress. The recovery process was complex and fraught with challenges. However, the tenacity displayed by the team was truly awe-inspiring. They navigated cryptocurrency crime's murky and ever-evolving landscape with skill and determination. After a series of strategic moves, they managed to recover the majority of my Bitcoins successfully.
