[UNSOLVED!!!!][1.6.4] A custom Fruit block like the fruit in Growthcraft

Hi, I have finished making, and customizing my trees, however I am stuck on making a fruit in mine craft that spawns on my fruit trees. I want to make a fruit like the fruit in Growthcraft. Can you guys help me with this.

 

 

BTW before any questions are asked, I cannot upgrade to 1.8 or 1.7.10 or something like that, I am stuck at 1.6.4.

i think minecraft has some sort of special render that needs a Cocoa object itself i would try to make this extend BlockCocoa

If I extend the block cocoa, would it look exactly like the cocoa block?

 

Also if this does not work should I get MCModeler and try to make a custom rendered block that way?
